Wise Group host successful recruitment fair

The Wise Group has given more than 250 people currently looking for work the opportunity to get themselves in front of a number of employers, who are each actively recruiting.

At a specially arranged recruitment fair held at our Charlotte Street offices, Wise Group customers had the chance to meet with employers from a range of sectors including retail, hospitality, call centre, landscaping and social care. Firms represented included Hilton Hotels, Teleperformance and Care UK.

Tony Dilear, 44, from Glasgow’s West End said: “The opportunity to speak with potential employers was useful. I have applied to one position and intend to follow up several others online.”

As well as being an excellent platform for customers to hear about the type of work available, and learn more about the organisations they could potentially be working for, the event gave people the opportunity to share their experience and career aspirations. For many who haven’t worked for some time, speaking with employers also provided a long overdue confidence boost.

Angus McBurney, 35 from Rutherglen said: “The fair gave me the feeling I may be one step closer to getting a job interview.”

 

Melanie Kissock who attended to recruit for Hilton Hotels, commented: “The Wise Group jobs fair has been a great success. Footfall was the highest I’ve seen at such an event.”
