Stuart says a big thank you to the Wise Group - a job at last!

“I cannot say enough about the help and support I was given it was invaluable”

With this week’s unemployment figures showing a bleak outlook for the long term unemployed, one Wise Group customer has managed to buck that trend with our help. Stuart Wallis is working again for the first time in six years.

Stuart told the Wise Group’s VideoWise:  ‘I can’t thank my advisor and the Wise group enough for the help given to me. I can’t believe that, following my induction I only attended for a couple of appointments and they managed to help me get a job.

I have taken the time to go into my job centre and speak with one of the managers suggesting that everyone who is unemployed should be referred to the Wise group as I cannot say enough about the help and support that I was given. It was invaluable.’

Stuart last worked as a security guard in 1995 but still had a valid security industry licence. He also had his own transport, vital for security jobs but was reaching the stage where he might have to sell his car. He had been applying for jobs online with the help of his Job Centre but was becoming demotivated after not getting any interviews or in most cases not even an acknowledgment that he’d even applied. He also felt that his lack of up to date experience in the security field was going against him.

Through the Work Programme Stuart was referred to the Wise Group. We offered him support and assistance with his job search, we reviewed his CV with him and suggested he promote himself to employers on a trial basis. This would enable him to get him the up to date experience he needed as well as boosting his confidence.

Stuart has been working since May and is now a valuable asset to his current employer. He’s even been offered a pay increase to stay with them. Stuart says that getting a job has changed his life. Simple as that. “Thank you Wise Group” he said.
