Cloud Summit 09
The Wise Group’s Head of IT, Alan Lee-Bourke, was invited to appear as a guest speaker at the Business Cloud Summit 09 in London. Joining Alan (seated second from left) was Paul Cheesbrough, CIO, The Telegraph; Richard Britton, IT Director, Easynet Connect and UK Online and Andrew Jordan, CIO, Complinet.
The Wise Group recently embraced Cloud Computing as part of its IT strategy. The Cloud Computing revolution is underway. A recent report from analyst firm Gartner Group predicts that worldwide Cloud services revenue will increase 21% this year to exceed $56.3 billion, and will rise to more than $150 billion by 2013.
Typical cloud computing providers deliver common business applications online which are accessed from a web browser while the software and data are stored on the servers.
Business Cloud Summit 2009 brought together business and technology decision makers from organisations large and small and the major Cloud Computing players in the software, hardware, infrastructure and consulting markets in a business-led exploration of the opportunities of Cloud Computing.
