Handy Person Service
Since the beginning of April 2008, the Wise Group has been providing the Glasgow Housing Association’s free Handyperson Service for tenants aged 60 and over. The service offers practical help with odd jobs around the house.
Types of tasks include:
- changing electrical plugs and fuses
- building flat-pack furniture
- cleaning internal windows
- fitting shelves
- hanging curtains or blinds.
The team also provides ‘Tenant Assist’ services, helping older and vulnerable tenants to get their homes ready before and after improvement work such as rewiring or kitchen, bathroom or window replacement.
