Our Sustainable Development department provides advice and support services to householders, communities and businesses.
Our projects cover a wide range of sustainability issues providing a one stop shop with free, impartial, quality advice on reducing our impact on the environment through energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable transport, recycling and waste minimisation.
We work in partnership with key organisations at a local and national level including the Scottish Government, Energy Saving Trust, Carbon Trust, local authorities and housing associations to ensure our activities use existing resources to maximise the impact of the work we do.
Energy Saving Scotland advice centre (ESSac)
The Wise Group is proud to have been delivering an energy advice centre service for more than fifteen years, helping householders, communities and small businesses throughout West Central Scotland save money, reduce their energy usage and impact on the environment.

G.HEAT
The Glasgow Home Energy Advice Team provides this independent advice to help people reduce their fuel bills and make more effective use of money they spend on fuel. It also assists with Glasgow City Council’s strategic aim of eliminating Fuel Poverty.

Zero Waste Volunteer Programme
The Wise Group’s Zero Waste Volunteer Programme (formerly known as The Master Composter) will give you training, advice and support to allow you to participate in a local community network of volunteers that actively engages with its community to help it with all aspects of composting.
