Routes out of Prison Project - Fiona McGuire

Persistent offending had led to Fiona being in and out of Cornton Vale a number of times.

Fiona’s Life Coach gave her support and advice which helped her to gain confidence around new people. Fiona joined a cookery course as the Scottish Association for Mental Health project in Bridgeton, Glasgow.

Fiona says: “I have more confidence, am now able to cook with confidence for others and my offending history is reduced. Since having my Life Coach I’ve not been back to prison since”.

In the future, Fiona hopes to take a college course for catering. Her Life Coach provided her with support, advice, training and family involvement.
