Robert was referred to the Wise Group by Age Concern regarding going on a possible paid work placement to help him gain permanent employment.
 
Robert had been unemployed and in receipt of incapacity benefit for over a year. He had a varied work history, including working for the funeral services, in stockrooms, warehouses and telesales, but he was finding it difficult to gain employment. He was keen and open minded regarding the placement in order to help him gain employment as soon as possible.

Working with Robert, the Wise Group was able to gain him an 8 week paid work placement as a Warehouse Assistant working full time in a warehouse in North Shields. During his placement, the Wise Group worked with Groundwork to help Robert in regards to job search, completing application forms and interview techniques, in order to help him gain permanent employment.

Robert was able to use his previous experience, together with his relevant experience gained on placement to gain a long term contract with Adecco as a Warehouse Assistant.
