The Wise Group - building bridges to opportunities logo

 Who are we?

The Wise Group is a leading social enterprise which is proud to be making a difference to people’s lives. We’re proud because we help people to find jobs, provide advice to people struggling to heat their homes and support people to find their feet following time in prison. To do this, the Wise Group works in partnership with everyone from large businesses to national and local government and third sector organisations who provide essential specialist support to our customers. Together, we’re greater than the sum of our parts.

What’s the opportunity?

An excellent opportunity has become available for an Accommodation Support Worker to join the Wise Group Team, working within Community Justice.

We require Accommodation Support Workers to aid the delivery of a new service which will ensure ex-offenders secure and maintain suitable and settled accommodation in the North East. The service will enable service users to overcome any barriers which may prevent them from sustaining such accommodation and enable them to build on their life skills.

The successful candidate will adopt a holistic approach when working with clients in order to promote positive and sustained change. They will be expected to manage a caseload of varying complexities and possess the confidence and ability to deliver both 1-1 and group interventions.

A minimum of NVQ level 3 in a relevant field or demonstrable experience is a requirement of the role. Previous experience of working within a Criminal Justice Setting would be advantageous, although this is not an essential requirement as the ability to work with complex individuals is overarching.

This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Check and Prison Clearance.

The role will be primarily home based, however, due to the regular travel involved to deliver face to face support, a full driving license is required.

If the Accommodation Support Worker role sounds like the opportunity for you, we’d love to hear from you!
