The Wise Group has a long standing reputation of delivering a wide range of sustainability services. We operate across 11 local authorities in Strathclyde and Central regions with a combined population of more than two million people. We work in partnership with key organisations at a local and national level including the Scottish Government, Energy Saving Trust, Carbon Trust, local authorities and housing associations.
Energy advice and waste reduction services
Among the schemes we currently deliver are:
- The Home Energy Scotland (HES) advice line to homeowners, businesses and communities. This provides energy efficiency advice, access to grants and funding for energy saving measures, information on low cost energy tariffs and advice on income maximisation.
- Independent advice on energy related issues to householders, particularly those who may be in fuel poverty or are having difficulty in keeping their home warm at an affordable cost.
- A partnership project with Glasgow City Council and Citrus Energy to provide the Glasgow People’s Energy Service. This is a completely free service for businesses in the city to help them save money from their energy bills and at the same time provide financial support for the G.Heat fuel poverty project for residents.
- A series of projects for Zero Waste Scotland to support businesses, communities and individuals to reduce waste through promoting recycling facilities and facilitating behavioural and attitudinal change.
