SVQ 2 Social Services and Healthcare
The Level 2 SVQ in Social Services and Health Care at SCQF Level 6 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job related skills in their particular area of work. This qualification has been designed in partnership with the Sector Skills Council, Skills for Care and Development to ensure relevance to the sector.
This is a work-based qualification aimed at those working in the adult social service sector and meets the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration requirements for Care Assistants.
Candidates will be required to complete 4 mandatory units and 2 option units which will be discussed and agreed by the candidate and their assessor as appropriate to the current job role and practice.

SVQ 3 Social Services and Healthcare
The Level 3 SVQ in Social Services and Health Care at SCQF Level 7 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job related skills in their particular area of work. This qualification has been designed in partnership with the Sector Skills Council, Skills for Care and Development to ensure relevance to the sector.

SVQ 2 Social Services Children and Young People
The Level 2 Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 6 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job related skills in their particular area of work.
This qualification has been designed in partnership with the Sector Skills Council, Skills for Care and Development to ensure relevance to the sector.
The target audience for the SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People) are people who are support workers in early years settings and residential/daycare for children and young people. It is a requirement by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) that everyone employed in this capacity should be working towards achievement of this qualification
Candidates will be required to complete 4 mandatory units and 2 option units which will be discussed and agreed by the candidate and their assessor as appropriate to the current job role and practice.
