August Summary – A busy month at the Wisegroup!

August was a busy month here at the Wise Group, filled with events, launches and incredible work done across the enterprise. Here are some of our highlights!

In August we had lots of events! We launched our Relational Mentoring Service in the North East with the NTCA, where we welcomed Mayor Jamie Driscoll for a panel discussion about what relational mentoring is, why is it so important and what sort of change it can create.

Following the Mayors visit and launch in England, we hosted a Jobs Fair in Paisley at the Lagoon Centre! This event was a huge success and was opened by St Mirren’s Football Club’s Tony Fitzpatrick, who used to be a Wise Group service user! We welcomed over 50 employers and 1000 participants through the door and had interviews with STV news on the day! It was amazing to see so many people in one room and we cannot wait to learn more about the impact of the event as we hear more feedback from those involved!

Alongside these events, colleagues across the enterprise were making huge strives in helping our customers in a variety of different ways. We had our 500th referral for our Scottish Government Relational Mentoring Project this month, and our HEAT team announced that since April this year, 219 customers have received energy support to the value of £79,837.73! Our colleagues working in the Engagement People on Probation have also been working extremely hard preparing for the Insights 2023 festival, where they will take part in a series of events! The festival is running from end of September to early October, so keep an eye out for updates!

We have loved the business that this month has brought, and cant wait to continue the momentum into the months coming! See some photos below and a link to the insights festival!
